Jason Bailey
Hi, I am a Learning Technologies Adviser at the University of Brighton.
I support staff using technology for learning and teaching. My office is in the Aldrich Library.
I started at Brighton in March 2014. Since starting at Brighton I have worked on the following:
- Upgrade of Studentcentral and associated imports from our student records system
- Upgrade of Studentfolio -the move to a hosted solution
- Creating a slideshow for the mathematics scavenger hunt
In my previous job I was a web developer and created and maintained web sites for a variety of functions. I worked with Oracle databases, PHP, MySQL Java, HTML5 and CSS.
One of my interests is to look at the data we have at Brighton and find out how it can be used to improve the student experience. This topic is generally called Learning Analytics and falls under the Big Data umbrella.
My personal blog is at jasonbailey.net
